ADELE 21....For real?
This new album from Adele '21' I must admit is the first album of hers I've actually bought and listened to. And I actually feel sorry for myself that I wasn't exposed to her earlier. She's ace!
Big ballsy ballads and soulful lyrics, and a voice that's real and true. Very rare these days is a voice that you can trust. But Adele is solid and you know for a fact that this woman could pull off the same intensity with herself and just an acoustic guitar or piano.
It's funny that because she's only 21 alot of people have said that they find it hard to take her lyric content seriously, that she couldn't possibly understand heart break and loss to the extent that she descibes in songs such as 'Don't you remember?' but I disagree. I think about how much heart ache and devestation I felt at the age of 18, going through being dumped by a boyfriend or cheated on, it really was 'devestation' in the true sense of the word. And I really think Adele's album captures the real sense of drama that you feel at this age.
Yes, she is mature beyond her years but I think it only seems that way because she's able to express herself in a way that most 21 year olds only wish they could. I love her, and I love '21'.
